Is this page needed? It does not seem to be the best advice - the LANG variable should already be set properly. And if it is not, that should be rectified. And if that is not enough - then a location like `/etc/environment` for global variables probably makes more sense. A similar note already exists on the archwiki (with suggestions to verify LANG, and a final note pointing out /etc/environment). So I would mark this page for archival or deletion.
